Little Toot

I mentioned in my last post that I’m a little obsessive about old books. More intense than my love for old books though, is my love for old children’s books. The illustrations, the wording, the simplicity of life… it’s just so wonderful. Because I love old children’s books so much, and I think I’m not the only one, I decided to share a few of my favorites with you here on this blog. I’m starting with “Little Toot” and I’ll post more as the month moves forward.

I’ll be honest and say that the title of this book drew me in. But upon inspection, there is more to this book than a quick giggle. 20130205-230204.jpg

I love the black, white and grey illustrations with pops of red. It’s so playful and boyish! It’d be a great book to tear apart and frame the illustrations (if you’re into that sort of thing).20130205-230213.jpg
